Notice of Consolidation

In compliance with the Georgia Election Code Section 21-2-492, notice is hereby given that the computation and canvassing of the returns of votes cast in the June 18, 2024, General Primary Runoff Election will be made at the Talbot County Board of Elections & Registration beginning at 7 pm on Election Day, Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

Register to Vote

To register to vote you must be:

  • A citizen of the United States

  • A legal resident of Georgia and the county in which you wish to vote.

  • At least 17 1/2 years of age to register and 18 to vote.

You May Not Register if you:

  • Are currently serving a sentence for a felony.

  • Have been ruled mentally incompetent by a court.

Absentee Voting

Vote by Mail

  • Ballots my be requested 78 days prior to the election. Requested ballots begin being mailed out 28 days prior to the election date.

  • Elderly and Disabled voters that have applied for an absentee ballot for that election cycle will automatically receive a ballot without making additional request.

  • United States Post Office

  • Designated Ballot Drop Boxes located inside the Election Office.
    - Please note that Drop Boxes are only open during the hours of Early Voting.

  • Hand deliver to the Election Office.

All voted Absentee Ballots MUST be received into the Election Office on Election Day by 7:00 PM in order to be counted.


Election Board Meetings

Election Board meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at 4:30 PM at 1761 Geneva Highway, Talbotton, GA 31827. The meetings are open to the public and we invite you to attend.

CDC Covid 19 safety guidelines are being followed, so please wear a mask or other facial covering and maintain a 6 foot social distance from other attendees.
