MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS FOR THE CITY OF GENEVA AND THE CITY OF TALBOTTON WILL BE HELD NOVEMBER 7th.
ADVANCED IN PERSON AND ABSENTEE VOTING WILL BEGIN OCTOBER 16, 2017.
October 16, 2017 is the first day to mail Absentee ballots for the November 7th Election and it is the first day of Early/ Advanced voting for the City of Geneva and the City of Talbotton residents.
Absentee ballot applications are available now. You pick one up at our office, call us at 706 665-8270 and we will mail one out to you or you can go online at “Georgia My Voter Page” to complete an application and e-mail, fax, mail or deliver it to our office.
All Early / Advanced voting will be done at the Board of Elections and Registration office at 141 N. Jefferson Avenue in Talbotton. The days and hours are listed below.

ARE YOU REGISTERED TO VOTE?
The deadline to register to vote in November 7th Election is October 10, 2017
If not - you are can register online at www.sos.ga.gov or come by our office at 141 North Jefferson Avenue in Talbotton, GA., Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. You can also register when you get or renew your driver’s license and when you apply for or renew benefits received through your local Family and Children Services (DFCS )office.
If you are already registered, check to make sure that you are still in an active status on the State Voter Registration list and make sure that we have the correct residence and mailing address on file.
You can verify this information by:
1. Checking online by logging in to "My Voter Page" at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov
2. By using the "GA SOS" app on your smart phone.
3. By checking the Secretary of State website: www.sos.ga.gov, select the "Elections" tab, and click on the "Where Do I Vote" link on the right side of the display.
4. By coming by or calling our office in Talbotton at 141 North Jefferson Avenue. The phone number is 706-665-8270.

Election Board meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at 4:30 PM at 141 N. Jefferson Avenue, Talbotton, GA 31827. The meetings are open to the public and we invite you to attend.
